Alchemy of heat, haze and light above the London skyline

London: Last Light

From the heart of the city to the wild edges of the ocean, fine art prints creating charitable impact

About the collection

What started as a visual storytelling project with Whisker & Woof took us into the skies above London, rooted in a shared appreciation of golden light, place and the power of seeing things from a different perspective.

And then the light began to shift.

A haze hung across the London horizon, softening the city and amplifying the warmth of the setting sun. Familiar landmarks became silhouettes. Rays of light cascaded between buildings and the River Thames traced a path through the city below.

Nothing quite prepared us for what unfolded.

It wasn’t until Rebecca began editing the photos and saw the images together that another possibility emerged: what if this unexpected moment could become something that gave back?

She approached Jason, founder of Whisker & Woof, with the idea of creating a fine art print collection in support of two charities close to their hearts, with 20% of the profits from every print sold donated to charity — 10% to each cause.

Jason nominated Pets As Therapy, reflecting a lifelong connection with animals that ultimately led him to train as a vet at the Royal Veterinary College in London. Rebecca nominated Whale Wise, supporting work to deepen understanding of and protect the whales with whom we share our oceans.

And so we’re delighted to introduce London. A fleeting moment above the city, something that feels a little once in a lifetime, transformed into something tangible fine art print collection, raising money for causes that connect people, place and planet.

About the partnership

Whisker & Woof

Whisker & Woof is an independent veterinary practice in Blackheath, founded by veterinary surgeon Jason Way and rooted in compassionate, relationship-led care for animals and the people who love them.

Jason’s connection with animals has shaped his life and career, from training at London’s Royal Veterinary College to founding a practice in the part of London he called home for many years. Whisker & Woof was created around the belief that veterinary care can feel personal, considered and connected — building lasting relationships with pets and the people they share their lives with.

That ethos extends beyond the practice. Jason chose Pets As Therapy as Whisker & Woof’s charity for London: Last Light, recognising the extraordinary role animals can play in our lives and supporting the charity’s work bringing companionship, comfort and connection to people across the UK.

Rebecca Douglas Photography

Rebecca Douglas is a photographer, filmmaker and visual storyteller exploring the relationships between people, place and planet.

Her work is rooted in curiosity, connection and noticing, drawn to the fleeting moments when light, weather and place align to reveal something extraordinary in the everyday. Her photography invites us to look closer and feel more connected to the world around us.

A qualified drone pilot, Rebecca’s aerial work offers another way of seeing familiar places, revealing patterns, perspectives and relationships that can only emerge when we change our point of view.

Rebecca chose Whale Wise as her charity for London: Last Light, supporting work to deepen our understanding of whales and create a future in which people and whales can thrive alongside one another.

Impact beyond the frame

Every print creates an impact beyond the frame, with 20% of profit donated to charity, split equally between two causes close to our hearts.

Pets as Therapy

10% of profit from every print
supports Pets As Therapy

Pets As Therapy brings people and animals together through volunteer-led visits to schools, hospitals, care homes and community spaces across the UK. Creating moments of comfort, companionship, confidence and connection.

“When we were looking at a charity to support this project, I came across the Read2Dogs scheme, where Pets As Therapy dogs help children in school with literary and concentration skills, alongside emotional support. As a father with a young family, this really resonated with me, and I thought Read2Dogs is such a wonderful idea, showcasing the human-animal bond, and the love that pets bring into the world.”

Whale Wise

10% of profit from every print
supports Whale Wise

Whale Wise is a UK-registered marine conservation charity using scientific research, public engagement and advocacy to better understand the relationship between whales and human activity, and translate that knowledge into meaningful conservation impact. Much of its current research takes place in Iceland, using drones, hydrophones and citizen science to study whales and the environments they inhabit.

For Rebecca, the connection is deeply personal. As President of Whale Wise’s Board of Trustees, she has spent years photographing, filming and sharing stories from its research and the whales at the heart of it. Supporting Whale Wise through her print collections is one of the ways her photography creates an impact beyond the images themselves.

From the heart of the city to the wild edges of the ocean, each print helps support work rooted in
connection, care and our relationships with the more-than-human world
