An almost synchronised routine unfolds beneath the surface as these gannets dive, finding themselves in close quarters, their wings folding mid-swoop like avian torpedoes navigating the blue. Gannets can remain underwater for up to 30 seconds and use their wings and feet to swim in pursuit of fish, often diving in coordinated groups to maximise their success. Here, the unity of movement and the shimmer of bubbles reveal a glimpse of the fierce, yet graceful life at the wild edge of earth, sea and sky.
