New earth flow – Sundhnúkagígar Volcano Iceland

It’s hard to portray the scale the incredible patterns formed by lava as it spreads across a vast area, without any reference point to compare this to. The molten rock, glowing with an intense orange hue, weaves intricate designs on the darkened landscape, creating a mesmerising tapestry of fiery veins. Each curve and line tells a story of the earth’s dynamic processes, as new land is forged in the wake of the lava’s relentless advance. Witnessing this flow up close, I was captivated by the raw beauty and power of nature, a reminder of the continuous cycle of destruction and creation that shapes our world.
